【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoversthegeneraltechniqueof"spiking"aqueoussampleswithorganicanalytesorcomponents.Itisintendedtobeapplicabletoabroadrangeoforganicmaterialsinaqueousmedia.Althoughthespecificdetailsandhandlingproceduresrequiredforalltypesofcompoundsarenotdescribed,thisgeneralapproachisgiventoserveasaguidelinetotheanalystinaccuratelypreparingspikedsamplesforsubsequentanalysisorcomparison.Guidanceisalsoprovidedtoaidtheanalystincalculatingrecoveriesandinterpretingresults.Itistheresponsibilityoftheanalysttodeterminewhetherthemethodsandmaterialscitedherearecompatiblewiththeanalytesofinterest.1.2Theproceduresinthisguidearefocusedon"matrixspike"preparation,analysis,results,andinterpretation.Theapplicabilityoftheseprocedurestothepreparationofcalibrationstandards,calibrationcheckstandards,laboratorycontrolstandards,referencematerials,andotherqualitycontrolmaterialsbyspikingisincidental.Asample(thematrix)isfortified(spiked)withtheanalyteofinterestforavarietyofanalyticalandqualitycontrolpurposes.Whilethespikingofmultiplesampletestportionsisdiscussed,themethodofstandardadditionsisnotcovered.1.3Thisguideisintendedforuseinconjunctionwiththeindividualanalyticaltestmethodthatprovidesproceduresforanalysisoftheanalyteorcomponentofinterest.Thetestmethodisusedtodetermineananalyteorcomponent''sbackgroundleveland,againafterspiking,itsnowelevatedlevel.Eachtestmethodtypicallyprovidesproceduresnotonlyforsamples,butalsoforcalibrationstandardsoranalyticalcontrolsolutions,orboth.Theseproceduresincludepreparation,handling,storage,preservation,andanalysistechniques.Theseproceduresareapplicablebyextension,usingtheanalyst''sjudgementonacase-by-casebasis,tospikingsolutions,andarenotreiteratedinthisguide.SeealsoPracticeE200forpreparationandstorageinformation.1.4Theseproceduresapplyonlytoanalytesthataresolubleinwaterattheconcentrationofthespikeplusanybackgroundmaterial,ortoanalytessolubleinasolventthatisitselfwater-soluble.Thesystemusedinthelatercasemustresultinahomogeneoussolutionofanalyteandsample.Meaningfulrecoverydatacannotbeobtainedifanaqueoussolutionorhomogeneoussuspensionoftheanalyteofinterestinthesamplecannotbeattained.1.5Matrixspikingmaybeperformedinthefieldorinthelaboratory,dependingonwhichpartoftheanalyticalprocessistobetested.Fieldspikingteststherecoveryoftheoverallprocess,includingpreservationandshippingofthesample.Laboratoryspikingteststhelaboratoryprocessonly.Spikingofsampleextracts,concentrates,ordilutionswilltestonlythatportionoftheprocesssubsequenttotheadditionofthespike.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
