【摘要】:ThispartofISO13387isintendedtoprovideguidancetodesigners,regulatorsandfire-safetyprofessionalsonthefundamentalengineeringmethodsthatshouldbeincludedindesignguidesandreferencemanualsforthepredictionof:a)timestodetectfireevents,basedonthedesign-fireenvironmentandpropertiesand/orlocationofautomaticdetectiondevices;b)timestoactivateautomaticalarmsystemsandautomaticsystemsdesignedtocontrolfiregrowthortocontroltheeffectsoffire,basedonsystemdesignparameters;c)theeffectivenessofactivatedautomaticsuppressionsystemsinlimitingthepotentialconsequencesofafire,basedonkeysystemcharacteristics.NOTETheeffectofhumaninterventionondetection,activationorsuppressionisconsideredbeyondthescopeofthisdocument.ThispartofISO13387isnotitselfadesignguideorreferencemanualbutcanbeusedasaresourcebynationalorganizationsinthepreparationofsuchdocuments.Thisreportalsoprovidesaframeworkforcriticallyreviewingthesuitabilityofengineeringmethods,whetherhandcalculationsorpredictivecomputermodelsorcorrelationsbasedonempiricaldata,topredictdetection,activationandtheeffectoffiresuppressionsystems.Notethattheterm"engineeringmethod"usedinthisdocumentreferstoanyoftheprecedingtechniques.
